"Certainly, there aqqre times when we need to anticipate what is coming and times we need to be spontaneous." Mark Nepo I have found in my life that planning can be good, but most of my career paths and relationships have been more serendipitous. I interviewed for a job in Alaska, but took one in South Dakota. I meant to live in one place all my life, but changes in family structure took me to Idaho. Has your life gone by plan, or have you needed to be spontaneous? We need both, but not rigidly. |
This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
