"Perspective is everything when you are experiencing the challenges of life." Joni Eareckson Tada
It is helpful to see the whole picture, the long view, when dealing with life's challenges, and - I would add - to not take the challenge personally. Challenges happen. An ant can be carrying a heavy load of food and a branch falls from a tree and kills it. Random things happen -- in the natural world and to us humans. That is life.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
