"People only see what they are prepared to see." Ralph Waldo Emerson
I heard on the radio that native populations could not at first see ships coming to their shores because - never having seen a ship, they were not expecting to see one. I have no idea if that is true, but it seems true that we cannot experience anything we cannot envision. So, what do you see -- what goodness can you envision for yourself and the world?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
