"If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your troubles, you wouldn't sit for a month." Theodore Roosevelt
Do you believe that is true? Do you believe that your choices in life have caused the life you have? If what Roosevelt says is true, we can turn that around and declare, "if you could express gratitude for all the good in your life, you would do it looking in the mirror - giving thanks to yourself and your Higher Power." This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
