"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." e. e. cummings
It does take courage to become who we really are, and, surprisingly, many of us have been conditioned away from who that is. Because of the criticisms of others, many of us have hidden who we are and tried to fit in by showing parts of us that are not really us. It is a dilemma, but, I am convinced the world will be a better place when we support each other to become who each of us really is.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
