"If we do not feel grateful for what we already have, what makes us think we'd be happy with more?" anonymous
Gratitude is such an important attitude. There are always at least two ways of looking at something -- we can look at the problem or we can look at available solutions. If we focus on the problem, that gets us nowhere. If we focus on the solution, we move forward in life. Or, as Einstein said, ""We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them"

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
