"I think 99 times and find nothing. I stop thinking, swim in silence, and the truth comes to me." Einstein
If one of the greatest minds known to humans found more truth in silence than in his own thinking, what does that tell us? There is a truth beyond our thoughts with which we can get in touch - through silence. Meditation, walks in nature, silence with the intention of reaching beyond our own thoughts -- these practices have many, many benefits.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
