"What we hold on to (and what we release) is a reflection of our consciousness." Linda Potter
We have all heard the adage -- a cluttered desk reflects a cluttered mind. There is truth in that for me. I am at peace when my surroundings are peaceful and orderly. Having things organized is one way I prevent stress for myself. I am in the process of cleaning out -- cupboards, drawers, closets. I am releasing to donate what no longer delights me. How about you?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
