"Yes and thank you are the opposites of selfishness. The ego can only be erased through happiness and gratitude." Arnaud Desjardins
Sometimes we can say yes too often, if it is for the wrong reasons -- like trying to please someone else or avoid someone's displeasure. But, to say yes to life, to what we have before us -- that is good. And gratitude. For what are you grateful today? I am grateful for the clear day and sunshine, a day that is not overly scheduled.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
