"If not here, where else could we bring alive compassion, justice and liberation? Jack Kornfield
Where else indeed? In the contentious presidential election in the U.S., the frosty relationship between Russia and U.S., refugees and reactions to refugees, South Korea testing guided missiles -- it may seem that compassion, justice and liberation are mortally wounded. But, that would be true only if we allow it. The secret, it seems to me, is to develop these characteristics ourselves.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
