Lift chairs can help a person who no longer has the strength to pull a lever to raise a recliner.
I was talking with a friend who has someone in the end stages of life. This friend did not know about lift chairs. They are a very good option for someone who needs to have legs elevated, wants to be comfortable, but can no longer manually operate a recliner chair. When I got one for my loved one, I found good value at Walgreens online (I am not promoting Walgreens -- just one option for purchase). Shipping was free to the care facility.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
