"New research suggests that working a little longer may benefit you health." Oregon State University study
Over 18 years of study, research indicates that elder adults who retired a year past age 65 had an 11% lower risk of death, compared with those who retired at age 65. This was true of even unhealthy people. Although it may not apply to everyone, working can bring people social and economic benefits.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
