"Surrender to what is. Say yes to life and see how life suddenly starts working for you rather than against you." Eckhart Tolle
As caregivers, do you sometimes find you feel as if you are pushing a large boulder uphill? There is so much for us to do, and I think it is tempting to get into a place where we are exhausted from trying to do it all. What if Tolle is right, and what we might do instead is to relax, accept what is, and see if Life does not work out better. We cannot do it all, so what is our part to do?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
