"It is not our thoughts, but our attachment to our thoughts, that causes us suffering." Byron Katie
Buddhism also stresses that it is our attachment to things which causes suffering. I once heard Dr. Wayne Dyer say he considers thoughts are on a big conveyor belt in the universe, and we can pick up the ones we want. Researchers have also said that our thoughts are not really individual to us, but are universal. If that is true, don't we want to carefully pick which ones we will entertain?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
