"For everything there is a season . . ." Ecclesiastics 3:1
There is a season for everything under the sun -- "a time to live and a time to die". This is vividly expressed in the changing seasons. In the region where I live we are entering much cooler weather. There have already been 3 frosts, and I have picked the last of the produce and dug up the garden.
There is a season in life passages too. A time to live and a time to die. Those of us who are caregivers are witnessing in our loved one the "time to die". Let us face this as a natural phase in life, with honor and graciousness.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
