"We suffer, often unknowingly, from wanting to be in two places at once, from wanting to experience more than one person can. This is a form of greed." Mark Nepo Have you ever had your eye on the next moment, thinking that you needed to get out of this moment or situation into that one? As humans, most of us experience this, and I think Nepo is right, it is a form of greed. It is also a habit of not being in the present moment. This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
