"If we did the things we are really capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." Thomas Edison
All we have to do is look around to see that some people seem to live more fully who they are than others do. What is the difference? Partly it is opportunity, as described in book, Outliers, where someone is born into a unique situation, partly it is perseverance, partly it is having a mentor, partly it is having an unusual and recognized talent. But, the important thing is: we can each live more fully. Let's support each other in doing so.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
