"Go on a journey from self to Self, my friend." Mathnawi
Who are we? We are daughters and sons of the Divine. Do we treat ourselves as that? Not many do. Do we recognize our own capacity for divinity? If we are daughters and sons of the Divine, then we have a right to be here, a right to be treated well - by ourselves and others, a right to be free to be all we can be. I heard recently that Jimmy Carter left his beloved Baptist church over the issue of how they treat and subvert women. Way to go, President Carter! It takes courage to take a stand with dignity. To take action to do what we know in our hearts is the right thing to do. The rightful treatment of women seems to me the last frontier we must traverse as a culture - to bring us back into right balance with the masculine and the feminine. Carter's actions and words help advance us. And, I thank him.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
