"Communication is to relationships what breathing is to life." Virginia Satir
I created this blog as a means to communicate my loved one's status with his family and friends and as a way to support other caregivers. Recently I received communication from someone asking me how my loved one is because they said they had no other way to find out. Isn't communication interesting? It appears that, despite my intention to discuss his process and condition in this blog, people still feel as if they do not know how he is.
How do you keep people informed?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
