"There is no need to seek the truth -- just put a stop to your opinions!" Seng-Ts'an
We humans have so many opinions: about the weather, too hot, too cold, too wet. About world conditions: too much trouble, too many tragedies. About our physical conditions: food not just right, person not behaving as we would like them to. What if we just stopped having opinions?! I think that would be very freeing. Do you think it is possible? I think some people attain that level of soul development; therefore, it is available for us all. It won't happen overnight, but we can choose to stop having so many opinions, because having opinions prevents intimacy and peace of mind.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
