"What's worth doing even if I fail?" Brene Brown
Most of us in the human condition do not stretch ourselves to be all we can be. Have you ever considered what is worth doing even if you fail? I have to confess that I have not thought in terms like that. To do so, seems to put failure in its place -- which is the place of learning. We do not expect toddlers to get things right the first time. Why do we expect ourselves to? Let us be gentle with ourselves, think about what is worth doing, and do it even if we might fail.

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
