"Hospice chaplain says many patients say they regret wasting time hating their bodies, and not appreciating their bodies and how they moved." Kerry Egan, CNN
This may not be true for all people who are dying, but it certainly is good advice for those of us still alive. Let us appreciate our bodies, how they move, the health they have, the size we are, our beauty or handsomeness. I have been fighting off a virus and sinus infection --- I so appreciate that my body is fighting it off. Let us celebrate our immune systems, our resilience, our capacity to love. There is so much to celebrate in our physical experience, our bodies..

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
