"If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be." Maya Angelou
There will always be a lot of pressure to be just average, to just fit in, to not stand out. It takes courage to be someone like Steve Jobs or Malala Yousafzai, who defied the Taliban by demanding that girls be educated. Most of the rest of us stay below the radar, not wanting to excel or stand out. But, what if we each did develop how amazing we each can be?! The world would be a far better place, and you and I would have the satisfaction of knowing we did everything we could to become all we could be. What could be our first step in that direction?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
