"Five wellness questions every woman should ask herself right now." Dr. Oz
1. What's my blood pressure? A healthy blood pressure falls below 120/80.
2. Am I managing my stress? Stressors in middle age (work problems, divorce, family illness) lead to dementia.
3. Do I have a carbon monoxide detector? Very important.
4. Am I getting enough vitamin D? A simple blood test will tell you.
5. Have I had my flu shot?

This blog is written to provide information and support to persons who are providing care for someone with dementia. A first indicator of dementia is when someone has trouble doing a task once familiar and easy for them. If you have begun to be concerned about someone's memory or cognitive processing, help the person receive a physical exam, to include lab work, and an appointment with a neuropsychologist for an evaluation of memory and cognitive processing.
